I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
